Carter is 3 and a half/ Child Photography London, Ontario

Over 4 years ago I took Blake over to our good friends house to take a few pictures. There is a red barn door that made for a neat backdrop. I took a few pictures of Blake there and those pictures have been some of my favorites of him. I remember that fall day well. I was 7 months pregnant with our Carter. At that time it was so hard to imagine having another child in our family. We were all very very excited for Carter to arrive but Blake was an only child for 7 years and it was just hard to imagine.

Well….time flies by so quickly and here we are years later. Carter is now 3 and a half and who knew we would have a baby girl as well. It’s been such a long time since I just took a few pictures of Carter. Once Amelia arrived with all her cuteness and bows……well I think they were glad that I was taking so many pictures of Amelia.

I love seeing Carter and Amelia grow up together (Blake too….but he’s so much older) . Having two children closer in age is so neat in many ways. I sure love my babies….all 3 of them.

Many days I feel overwhelmed….like I just have too much on my plate. Life sure was more simple and my body was more rested with just one little one. But every day I look at my kids and I can’t believe I have 3! Every time my good friend, Mandy, calls my house she laughs as she hears the craziness and says “I still can’t believe you have those little ones”. I’m so thankful to the Lord for them!!!!

Amelia is 18 months old

I was laughing so hard at Amelia’s smiles.

No she did not want her feet in the grass. So cute.

Finally…..I would ask her to smile and this is what she kept doing!!!! Anytime I need a good laugh, all I need to do is look at this picture! That’s my girl!

Amelia is chattering up a storm. She can say a good 40-50 words and likes to repeat everything we say. But she has a temper, she screams a lot and still doesn’t always sleep too well. No matter what….she melts our hearts.

The rocking chair

Well if you can’t tell…..I’m enjoying having some time to take pictures of my kids. Winter can be a bit of a difficult time to come up with indoor ideas that are cute when you don’t have a studio. I have really been enjoying spending a few minutes a day just taking some shots of the little ones (Blake is not as easy to pin down for pictures).

For those of you who don’t know me, I spent years waiting for a second child. It was a long hard 5 or so years, waiting and wondering why I was unable to have another baby. Then, when I least expected it they were here. It’s a different experience for me having two children that are close in age. Many times a day I think……wowzers this is difficult. But many moments during the day are so precious….watching Carter and Amelia play together. I am so thankful for them!

This was the rocking chair that my mom rocked me on when I was a baby. I love this picture.

I asked him to kiss her and this is what he did.

I love this one. It’s amazing to me how fast a newborn changes into a toddler!!!! The picture above her bed was taken when Amelia was 4 days old!

Then I decided to try on a cute romper I got her but wanted to make sure it fit. I can’t wait to use it in the spring. Her adorable hair piece below is made by my good friend Sara Thiry. I love it!!!!!

My babies at home

We live in Ontario and just a couple days ago we got snow for like the third time this winter. It’s hard to believe it’s February and we are rarely getting snow. We bundled the kids up to play in the freezing cold and they loved it and did not want to come inside. So of course I thought….well then they won’t mind if I later take them out for a few pictures in the freezing cold lol.
